Suso Cecchi d’Amico
Following her father’s footsteps, Suso Cecchi D’Amico is “The Lady of Italian cinema”.
With her narration, rich of many virtues – humor, irony, pietas, grace, care for the particulars, study of the characters, from after the war until today she has written for the greatest Italian directors, from Monicelli to Zampa, from De Sica to Comencini, from Antonioni to Visconti more than eighty scripts, some of which are fundamental in the story of Italian cinema. From Ladri di biciclette to Salvatore Giuliano, from Miracolo a Milano to all the movies of Luchino Visconti.
With her we want to award a great witness of the Italian culture of the Twentieth century.
