Leonardo Sciascia, twenty-five years ago, receiving the Nonino Prize said: “Rustic civilization is not dead, … in the same moment in rustic civilization dies, even the man will die”.

Silvia Peréz-Vittoria has made the “Rustic Civilization Matter” and the defense of those ancestral values and knowledge the core of her work of economist, sociologist and documentary film maker, giving voice to the battles that land workers fight at any latitude, certain that only a civilization that is also rustic can grant us a future.
