With Martha C. Nussbaum we want to award her “great soul” of paladin of liberalism, laity and civil rights, a theorist of global justice and defender of all living creatures. Her philosophical analysis is unique, maieutic and touching, but above all open and critical on the great enigmas of contemporary society, like the celebration of diversity and the problems of science and technology.
