For giving rational impulse to the cultivation of the old autochthonous vine variety Ribolla gialla, selecting and increasing their plants, which are a good ampelographic research platform and represent the most genuine expression of the Friulian wine world.

The awarding of the prize happily coincides with the announcement of the resolutions taken for the DOC acknowledgement to the Ribolla gialla of the Collio, following the wish expressed by the “Risit d’Aur” prize since 1974 and as a fulfillment for the efforts made in favor of this and other Friulian vine varieties.
