Open to western historiographic experiences, especially the French ones of the “Annales”, Gurevic has studied in depth, in a very personal way, his researches on the ancient centuries of the Russian and Nordic world in general, achieving results that make him the most important Soviet scholar of the rural world that, 15 years ago, gave birth to the Nonino Prize itself.
