Alvaro Mutis
To Alvaro Mutis, Columbian by birth, European by culture, nomadic by need, exile by destiny, writer by vocation who with his work of poetry and prose, has added another bright plug to the great mosaic of the Latin-American narrative of the Twentieth century.
In the Eighties with the trilogy of “The Adventures and Misadventures of Maqroll” – of which “The Snow of the Admiral” is the first part – he resumed a character, born in literature in 1953, in which the writer can find an ideal portrait of the author, bus especially a high example of literature as an experience of life and interrogation on our destiny.
